Dr. Shannon M. Dexter, PT, DPT, MS, CCI graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness and Preventive Rehabilitation as well as moving forward to get her Masters degree in Physical Education and Sports with an emphasis on Exercise Science and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Michigan Physical Therapy Association, the American Heart Association, and holds certifications in CPR and First Aid. She is also an American Physical Therapy Credentialed Clinical Instructor, enjoying taking students to assist them in furthering their clinical knowledge and patient care. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, playing outdoor volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, boating and other backyard games. Laying out in the sun and spending time on her boat are other activities she also likes to participate in during the warm weather. 

Kelly Bechtel, LPTA graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. She is certified in CPR, First Aid and AED. Prior to working in the physical therapy field, she was a classroom teacher receiving her teaching degree from Central Michigan University. As well as graduating from CMU, she was also a licensed day care provider, Title One Instructor and Vision Therapist. Working with people and being able to interact with them is one of her more favorite things about what she does. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, exercising and walking her 13 year old golden retriever, Scout. Spending time with her family is one of the most important things in her life. 

Both Shannon and Kelly are dedicated to their patient’s wellness and knowledge regarding their condition, by keeping up on the most current treatment interventions through continuing education as well as through scholarly journals and practice.
